Medicare Advantage &
Prescription Drugs

Medicare Advantage combines Medicare Part A and B for comprehensive coverage, all in one plan.  It often includes Part D Prescription Drug coverage too.  Medicare Advantage plans are also called Part C plans.

Some Medicare Advantage plans have a $0 monthly premium, but they may also have additional costs such as deductibles, coinsurances, and daily copays for in hospital stays and physical therapy.  They may also have provider limitations and lack of coverage while traveling.  Some plans may allow you to use doctors and hospitals that are not in the plan's network at a higher cost, giving additional freedom to choose doctors so it is important to carefully review the Medicare Advantage plan coverage.

Some Medicare Advantage plans may also provide some coverage for dental, hearing, vision, and fitness programs such as gym memberships.
